As far i am concerned ,Indian cricket has lost its glory of the past as like the game of hockey...Indian cricket it is seem to be more predictable..
Big Tournaments:
The common feature in a tournament is the lose the major games and get thumping victory against teams like bangladesh,zimbabwe,kenya,holland..once in a while wins against major teams..They lose most of their first round...in a tough qualifying matches sometime they show us that game went so close but lost very rare occasion in big tournaments they go to finals...in finals it is one side affair..they lose terribly........
Individual Players:
When seeing the Individual track records most of our player out of 10 matches they tend to get 30+ runs in 2-3 games... They spend more time advertising..Quotiting the selectors comment"Performance is key for selection" ,i think this wont suit for players like sehwag,dhoni who score once in a while in ODI cricket...
Good Players out because of Politics:
Players like Kumble,dinesh karthik,Balaji,murali karthik,sreesanth,power and many more who proved them in matches are out of indian squad just because of dominance of punjab,karnataka,mumbai BCCI officials ...I am confused why they alwasy keep players like harbajan ,agarkar,dhoni who dont perform that welll....when asked they say for dhoni he is good batsmen so he has edge over dineswh karthik..i have a doubt when u have 6 batsmen who fail then why do u pick batsmen like that...
Media Role:
When switch on your televsion news ,it is assured u have atleast 2 cricket news...they are hyping the game like anything...it is so shameful that they tend to do stories on players hair stlye etc.....Incase of big players ,when he gets a decent score in a game after prolonged failure they do "The MASTER IS BACK","THE TIGER ROARS BACK AGAIN" which quite unfair....Actually media has spoiled the true nature of indian cricket....
Commentators:
There are very well performed players who comments on the performance but i quite amused that players who failed in their cricket tend not only comment but tend to teach them in tv..players like sidhu who poor fielder tends to comment on indian fielding ability and criticizes the players so badly...people who couldnt stay on indian cricket they go on air (tv shows) judging the performance of the current players....
Only positive thing is our performance in test cricket...Rest of the things are not so good to be spoken about..i feel indian cricket like the game of WWE are preplanned and are done ...it is so easy to judge the results...

Yes shivaram..I truely agree.. Indian team do not meet the expectations of their fans..
When they take on big teams like australia..so much is expected out of them. 9 out of 10 times they cave in meekly, eventually disappointing so many fans. They lack seriousness and flatter many times.
Most of the players take it for granted. Players like Dinesh Mongia, who have just scored once in a blue moon have be given too many chances.
Infact, I strongly feel that cricket has shadowed many other outdoor games in India.

Yes.. i will agree to some of the views..Cricketers are keen in getting into commercial ads..Tamilians are ignored or wantedly rejected when it comes to selection..But still ,its our country's team..So we have to keep supporting them.
agree to most points..except that harbhajan hasnt been performing..he has been performing in last few series..and 1 thing is that media is too much out blaming chappel for everything..when the players shud take the blame..i mean u hav 100 overs in field whr u hav to perform..coach can only make plans...players should b held responsible for thr perfomances in every series .

We Indians are losing the plot!
Its truely predictable...
We(meanin our team) are not focused as clearly seen in the recent champions trophy! We just gave away the initiative to the oponent team! Showing our culture of being generous? This too much! when you have the expectations of a whole nation on your shoulders, its our duty to perform! or atlest try! we just throw away chances!
Individualistic approach is really killing the team! You look at the recent averages of our players! Its pathetic! Only Sachin as crossed 100 runs with an average of 45 this season!! The rest are all below 100!!!! Even his performance is not up the mark!
Now CRICKET-POLITICS! both looks one and the same! In both field we have people looking to out throw the other!NO difference at all!
The entire system is corrupted! Sertiously, we losing good talents because of BIAS!
Its high time Media checks on itself! We see media HYPE is going out of this world! jus as you said, media IS spoiling Indian Cricket! what media looks into is coverage and viewership!
Its known that commentators open their mouth for money! they just talk whats in their head!(this has resulted in controversies too) No offence intended! there are good ones too!
I finally say that,Indian cricket is seriously in the verge of downfall! Lets pray that that they play well in the coming days! Stayed TUNED.. or should i say, glued to your TV sets!
