Gandhiji you weren't great but my innocent indian people were so dumb.

Gandhi,so called father of nation 't items were sold at auction for $1.8 million .So After being smiling on Indian rupee notes. He is now 9 crore item in Vijay mallaya's custody.

Gandhi was so called resembled to be anti alcoholism, but i am happy that his items were bought by Worlds One of Richest Liquour Baron ,Vijay Mallaya(Owner of UB group-Kingfisher,Kalyani,Zingaro,etc).

Gandhi was womenazire which he has accepted himself.Mallaya's businees is accelerated by glamourous girls. Our indians are so innocent, that as many saw "Our babuji is so great that he accepted that he was womenarizer which no one would"But ultimately they forgot he was womenazire!

Gandhi was person after publicity like mallaya now.How come Jawaharlal Nehru's family have Gandhi as their family name starting from indira gandhi. The reason is Gandhi was the same person who didnt want great leader like Iron Man of India Sardar Vallabhai Patel not to be Prime minister even after majority of congressperson voted for him.But patel was so humble enough to accept this selfish person's decision and steppes back to give way to Nehru Gandhi ira which still continues to haunt our nation.

The great deeds of Gandhi Nehru ,Gandhi & Nehru gave away pakistan.Indira Gandhi Gave away Bangaladesh. So what would be Next, which is would be known only to their present heirs.

I have few questions for you Gandhi,
How many time you got beaten/suffered during Independence Struggle?
Why you never had men around you, from archives you had always been carried by womens?
What made you opt for Nehru for Prime Minister?
What made you give away Pakistan, which till now is big headache for India?

To sum it up,whether your in hearts of people, your surely in their pocket in form of money.I was so delighted to see your item were bought by Vijay Mallaya,Liqour Baron. You surely deserve this humilation for whatever you deceived indian innocents.

Indians are by and large very sentimental and not too logical to analyze or criticize situations and people.Gandhiji was respected for his ahimsa doctrines and in his faith in it. A beacon light to the scattered masses in times of darkness and turmoil under foreign rule-maybe true to an extent,Yes!
But freedom fighters - who lost their lives, livelihood, and things which mean more than life to our woman at times of riots, struggles are rightly the fathers and mothers of independant india.

How can we credit jus one human for all the blood shed by thousands. But that's how our hero worship is - illogical and unfair.

Finally, I find along with myself a person who is not all praising Gandhi!

i admit it totally but the fact that is that we must not forget that he was one among the great men who fought for the country's independence.so there is no use now arguing about this

This line jus happened to cross my mind now "The Media has been a part of Ammunition used by Political spearheads right from the dawn of its origin."All these time we have been reading what they have been wanting us to know or hear. Its so funny to see that till now we have been reading about freedom of expression,speech...bla bla bla... but how come we dont hear the basics of our masters who got our freedom?? Every coin has two sides but i jus feel that all along we have been looking at one side of it... and now when we see the other side (which they "politicians" didnt want to us to know) its so RAW that we find it tough to digest.

The praise must be given to them who jus made us feel stupid and believe to each and every word they said.

All along its been jus a act to cover the eyes of the innocent people who believed them when they were busy fighting for power to rule their "MOTHER LAND"...

he he .. nice analysis but whats the use... who cares about it ... he was great... he used people that time ...lived his life.. there is no point in pointing out ... but u r mind may relieved... its not about whether he is fox and u r pointing it ... its about how cunning the fox is and which one is it ... :)

May be What you have written is true or not, but you have analysed in a right way. I think in this context you can call Gandhiji as 'Father of politicians' than 'father of nation' because politicians are one who are sent to prisons saying that for the welfare of nation....but ultimately the real persons behing struggle or the one sheds his blood doesnt find a place in history......Better people have to read history of subalterns rather reading biographies of people in lime light....

hi siva,
i've read ur blog and i can say that your blog is very incisive and expresses well thought out sentiments and little known facts or facets of issues.

"gandhi is a great freedom fighter." "the father of our nation" these are the only things that pop into our mind when we think of the name Gandhi.. we either do not know or do not care enough to know more about this person who almost single handedly changed the destiny of the 2nd most populous country in the world.

Gandhi wielded enormous influence and did get our country freedom, but the glorified image of Gandhi that our countrymen know today was not always so. He too had his share of detractors. As such, a person can truly understand why and how the country he/she is living came to be like this, only from reading and understanding the triumphs and follies of her leaders. But, it is not possible as of today. A misplaced remark or a slightly rational question is enough to set off a grand media debate and violent protests.

If a citizen does not know the mistakes his leaders made, how is he to take informed decisions for the betterment of the times in which he lives?

Yes, I understand and appreciate the sacrifices that Gandhi made. But he also made some mistakes. and I think I have a right to know that.

THERE IS NO USE IN ARGUING WHETHER GANDHI IS A GREAT HUMAN BEING OR NOT... COZ THE COUNTRY AS A WHOLE HAS ACCEPTED HIM AS "THE FATHER OF NATION". I APPRECIATE VIJAY MALLYA FOR GOING FORWARD AND BRINGING BACK THE TREASURE....

ye factual points... I always use to wonder... why Gandhi's phot is there in all the currency... which is hard earned by me. well I wouldn't have minded, if it would had other leaders too including Bose, Bhagat, Nehru... Is this something related to our sentiments? then people like me and Siva aren't senti? I dont think so, it is just not being direct in the thoughts! hope atleast our generation (not the next generation) will be direct! I am open to comments on my statement
